Can anyone tell me how to measure the ac current and accurate amount of memory being used by my PC?

im doing my project and im investigating the current usage of different algorithms.. So i need , as part of the requirements, to measure the amount of current being used by my pc when im executing the algorithms.. i know i should be using a multimeter but i dont know where to plug the multimeter for readings.. Also does anyone know any software that can accurately LOG the amount of memory being used by a pc
