What do you think are the major contributing factors to the moral breakdown of society are?

Violent crime, divorce, abuse, drug use, fraud, and so on. All of these things have steadily increased since the turn of the century, part of it of course has to do with population increase. There are no easy or right or wrong answers. What is your opinion?
