Should Love Smith have his contract extended by the Chicago Bears and why or why not?

I know that the Chicago Bears won more games this season, then anybody expected them to, and he took them to the playoffs, and they got the first round bye, but they only made it has far as the NFC Championship Game, and they lost against the Green Bay Packers. So he failed to get them to the Super Bowl, and he lead them to it once before but they didn't win. So should Lovie Smith have his contract extended by the Chicago Bears, or does he even deserve to have his contract extended by the Chicago Bears and why or why not? I know that they went win less in their preseason games, and that just shows you how preseason games don't even count.
