Science fair help please?

i really need a science fair idea. i was going to do something with ants like get an ant farm and study how long it takes for them to make a tunnel and how dark and light affects them and stuff but i'm in 10th grade and that doesn't seem appropriate... i wanted to do something with mice but i can't because it's too common and i'm not allowed... heh. not sure now. i wanted to do something with animals and stuff but i can't because my only options really were ants or mice. nothing else i can do really. i have a parrot, but...don't really want to to anything with him. i'm stumped. i don't want to do something with hydrogen or elements or whatever because those are stupid and difficult and i don't and won't know enough abut them. help?
