Is there any way to save my wood shrimp?

I have a wood shrimp in my aquarium. ive had it for a few weeks and it was doing fine. it molten and started just hanging on a plant after that. yesterday, i noticed it started to hide inside a piece of drift wood i had inside. i tried to move him (not sure if that was a bad idea) and he just tried swimming and fell back to the bottom. I took out the exoskeleton (not sure if that was a bad idea) and now i can tell he's on his way out. is there anything i can do to save the little guy? feed him with a straw or something, or add some iodine to the water? if anyone know please help, he doesn't have much left. the water seems fine, 0 ammonia, nitrates and ph are fine too. around 0 and 7.2. please let me know.
