English major and decided Iwant to teach?

I'm only in my first semester at a community college but plan to transfer to a 4 year, and I am now majoring in English. Should I switch to an Education major now or just continue with English? I would like to teach at the secondary level 6-12. I will be taking Education courses anyway when I go to the 4 year college but will I be able to still get in the program as an English major from the community college instead of an Education major? It might be a stupid question but I was just wondering.
