Have you, as a Catholic, given up correcting Protestant fundamentalists about their wrong ideas of Catholicism?

They say that we Catholics worship Mary, the Saints and make graven images to worship. Some of them say we even worship our Pope. I know that by now they know that their accusations are false because we Catholics have been trying to inform them of what we really believe. I'm just wondering why Protestant fundamentalists still stick to their misconceptions about Catholicism.
