How to ask a girl on a "date" when she's a little piss at you?

there's this girl who i never dated before despite the fact we secretly liked each other.. but that was before... she hates me now and seldom replies to my texts.. maybe coz she thinks i kept her waiting for nothing.. but im not really sure... now i'm missing her so much and i badly need to see her without looking desparate. i have the feeling shell just turn me down if i ask her outright on a date.. any idea how can i hang out with her without being so obvious? i want to win her back one date at a time.she's that special. . any ideas? tnx
