My mom would be mad if I got a tattoo?

I wanted a tattoo when I was 21 but was too scared to get it, when I turned 25 I had it done and have not looked back, I still love it 11 years later, admittedly I do have it on my shoulder blade so there is not a constant reminder of it day in day out so it is hard to be sick of it. Where you are planning on getting it is a good position as this is a place that is easy to cover and does not limit what you wear, but in places like the ankle and even the shoulder, you are limited with what you are able to wear if you need to cover it. I say if you have wanted it for a while then get it (as long as you are over the legal age for it). Some motherly advice is make really really sure that you want it before you get it, a friend of mine made a quick decision to get one (because my friend and I had one) and the minute she got it she regretted it. Also make sure you get what you want, as you said, you feel that too many are tacky so in the future if you feel that you want another one, you may be limiting where you can put it.
