|Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok immigration?

I have a 3-hr layover at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok. I would like to p thru immigration to look at more shops and for collecting immigration stamps. Is this Ok? Would the immigartion officer ask? What would you say?
