What role did Johnathan serve in Davids life? Was friendship tested ... friend ship proved?

They seemed to be kindred spirits. it's funny how simply we can recognize each other. Jonaathan was willing to risk his own neck before his dad, who he knew could be a cruel man, to help David.. It seems that they both remembered that Saul and David were once freinds also , and it must have hurt Jon and David to see something like that be lost. Yeha it is good to have freinds. I help people as often as I can. Jesus went onto the cross for us, and I think htat He wants us to sacrifice (give) our lives to each other.
